Mark Burnett is the founder of MyBrainRestore, a single-ingredient supplement company he built from scratch at 67 after a career as a database programmer. Host Jeremy Rivera talks with him about what it takes to bring a physical product to market: sourcing, manufacturing, Amazon, trademarks, and why he keeps turning down money that comes with strings.
Mark had to invent his own cold-milling process, plan for a ramp from a handful of orders to ten thousand, learn which countries' customs will and won't let a supplement through, and hire help for social media when "the last games I played were arcade ones." He also explains how Amazon's brand protection and his own patent and trademark filings keep copycats out.
